Hi! My name is Caroline, and I am a junior at Watkinson School. I am a student leader, an avid runner, and a lover of all things science. I am also an EMT and would love to work as an EMT throughout college. While I have been interested in the Global Studies Program since beginning at Watkinson in sixth grade, my interest solidified and grew when I traveled to Nepal in March 2024 to visit family and friends. It was eye-opening to see how the education system in Nepal and the different opportunities offered by public vs. private schools drastically impact the economic status of the country and the stark divide between classes. I don’t think there is a simple solution to any of the world’s problems, but fair and equal education is so important.
